Even Celtic fans fear that Odsonne Edouard will be leaving, after their failure to make the Champions League, after rumours Leeds United want to sign him.

The Mirror claimed last week that Marcelo Bielsa is ‘desperate’ to bring Edouard to Elland Road, and Celtic’s defeat last night could be a hammer blow to their chances of keeping him.

Edouard has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, and a number of sides across Europe now.

And even Celtic fans think that their star man could leave this summer, with top level European football no longer on offer.

Whether Leeds will be quite as desperate to sign Edouard as they apparently were a few days ago now remains to be seen.

The Whites are thought to be closing in on the capture of Rodrigo, but Edouard could still make an appealing option.

Leeds are likely to need more than one striker to rely on next season, and Rodrigo could even play behind a player like Edouard, or out wide, such is his versatility.

Losing Edouard would be a huge blow for Celtic, who have previously been defiant in their desire to keep their main goalscorer.

The Daily Mail explained how Celtic had slapped a £40 million price tag on Edouard, but that may have come down following the financial blow of losing out on Champions League football.
