
Carlos Vinicius opened his account in the Premier League this past weekend for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs edged out Aston Villa and it was the towering Spurs loanee who opened the scoring at Villa Park.
Vinicius, who is at Tottenham on loan from Benfica, had nine goals for the Lilywhites across all competitions prior to that.
But this was his first in the Premier League and the closer we get to the end of his loan agreement, the more speculation there’ll be about what the club want to do so – and according to a report from Portugal, the North Londoners want to sign him on a permanent basis.
CM Journal claim that although Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has decided to keep Vinicius at the club, he won’t be paying £38 million for him.
Levy has a history of trying to get the best possible bargain for the club and although it has worked wonders at times in the past, at other times it has backfired in a big way – like with Jack Grealish for example.
