Aston Villa fans have called for Jacob Ramsey to be given his chance in their first-team.
The Express and Star have now reported how Villa are set to be without Ross Barkley for the next two weeks with injury.
That causes a problem for Villa, as Barkley has been in such wonderful form since arriving in the Midlands.
But Villa fans think that they have a ready-made replacement in Ramsey.
Ramsey has always impressed in Villa’s first-team when he has been given opportunities before.
However, if Dean Smith was to start Ramsey he really would be chucking him in at the deep end.
Villa also have the option to start Conor Hourihane, who would give them a more experienced option in central midfield.
Smith’s side are due to take on West Ham United and Newcastle United in their next two games, with Barkley sidelined.
