Billy Koumetio had a mixed game for Liverpool on Saturday.
The Premier League champions warmed up for the 2020-21 campaign by thumping Blackpool 7-2 at Anfield yesterday.
But their day got off to a rotten start when the visitors took a surprise lead on 15 minutes.
And it was an error from the 17-year-old Liverpool centre-back whose mistake directly led to the goal, as Koumetio dithered in possession on the half-way line.
Despite that error, the young Frenchman dusted himself down and still posted a solid performance for the most part.

It was a big, big mistake from Koumetio, but luckily it happened in a friendly and not a competitive game.
Plus, the kid is only 17. No centre-back in the history of football has avoided any error of some description during the early stages of their career.
The mistake isn’t important, but it is vital that the Liverpool talent learns from it going forward. This is all part of his education and it’s the low moments which shape players.
