‘He’ll be here by next week’: Some Tottenham fans react to Mourinho’s transfer claim

Tottenham fans on Twitter think Jose Mourinho is bluffing after his transfer comments about Nico Gonzalez.

Ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Fulham tonight, Mourinho told Football London that his side aren’t interested in Gonzalez.

The Athletic’s reporter David Ornstein claimed that Spurs have held preliminary talks to sign the versatile Stuttgart forward.

Spurs fans think that Mourinho is simply playing mind games and they can see their team securing the 22-year-old’s this month or in the summer.

It’s pretty clear that Tottenham supporters are keen on bringing Gonzalez to North London, as he aims to push his side towards Europe in the Bundesliga.

It could be argued that Gonzalez isn’t a must for Spurs because of the depth Jose Mourinho now has to work with.

But if they are keen on adding him to their ranks then they are better doing it during the winter transfer window because he can then have time to settle in.

But all eyes will remain on whether Daniel Levy will get his cheque book out for Mourinho this month.
