Speaking on his podcast, David Seaman has been discussing Aaron Ramsdale and his recent injury issue.
The goalkeeper missed the Gunners’ game against Aston Villa, and while the London club won 1-0, Seaman believes that Ramsdale will still be gutted about his situation.
Indeed, due to the fact Ramsdale would have been in the mix to start for England over the next fortnight, Seaman believes the stopper will be disappointed to have picked up an injury at this point in time.
What’s been said?
“I was disappointed that Aaron didn’t play, he’s done his hip flexor. He will be out for a couple of weeks,” Seaman said.
“It was disappointing because I wanted to see how he would react, and he’ll be disappointed with the injury as well, because he would have played in these next couple of England games. It would have been a great chance for him, but that’s on pause at the moment.”

Hungrier
Ramsdale may be disappointed at missing out on the chance to play for his country, but if anything, this setback will make him hungrier.
Think about it, Ramsdale is now back to square one, and with the next international break months away, he may feel the need to once again prove himself and show Gareth Southgate that he should be the Three Lions’ number one.
Ramsdale may be disappointed now, but if he has the right mindset, he could be better than ever upon his return.
