Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa is reportedly heading back down to the Championship and to promotion hopefuls Leeds United ahead of the new campaign.

There is real excitement building around Leeds United as they prepare for the new Championship campaign as the summer transfer is getting the Elland Road faithful talking.
The Telegraph are claiming that Wolves winger Helder Costa will sign for Leeds on Monday on a season-long loan deal as he makes the switch from the Premier League to the Championship.
There’s no doubt that Marcelo Bielsa is purchasing a player of real quality and someone that will add much-needed depth to his squad, but they should be warned about his last two seasons at Wolves.
Costa hit it off at Wolves in his first season at the club. He scored 10 goals and supplied eight assists for the team in the Championship [transfermarkt], and they are numbers that would be really appreciated at Elland Road next season if he makes the switch.
But since making a £13 million permanent switch to Molineux in 2017 [BBC Sport], Costa’s performances have dipped, as he has struggled to recreate the form that won him plaudits first time out.
During Wolves’ promotion campaign, he scored five goals and supplied six assists, as he provided a number of indifferent performances for the club.

That seemingly filtered its way into the Premier League, as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side made the step-up into the big-time as he only scored one goal and supplied two assists last term.
There’s no doubt that Costa needs a fresh start elsewhere, but if he struggles at first then the Leeds fans shouldn’t be surprised because he needs to get his confidence back.
Plus, Bielsa demands a very tough workload from his players and Costa isn’t exactly known for his work rate, so that’s something he has to get used to pretty quickly else he’ll be finding himself on the bench quite a lot.
But if Costa can produce the goods for the Yorkshire club then it’ll be of huge help for them because they have been crying out for some attacking depth and now it is seemingly heading their way.
