Leeds United look set for another exciting summer transfer window, and one man they could bring in is Noni Madueke.
If you’re not familiar with the 19-year-old, he’s a fantastic talent who can play on either wing as well as through the middle, and despite being just a teenager, he’s already established himself as one of the most potent attacking threats in the Eredivisie.
Indeed, he’s got seven goals and six assists in 19 appearances for PSV in the league this term, and understandably, that has caught the eye of Leeds United.
Signing Madueke could certainly improve the Whites’ squad, but one man who may be concerned by these rumours is Helder Costa.
The Portuguese winger has struggled to establish himself as a key player at Leeds this term, starting just 10 league games all season, struggling to usurp either Raphinha or Jack Harrison as Leeds’ first-choice winger.
He’s had plenty of chances off the bench, but he’s rarely impressed, scoring just one goal since September, while adding just two assists during that time.
For a period, it seemed as though he was Leeds’ third-choice right-winger, but an injury to Ian Poveda saw him handed more chances.

However, if Madueke is signed, we can only imagine he’ll once again be relegated to that third-choice berth, and with the likes of Poveda and Crysencio Summerville coming through, he may fall even further down the pecking order sooner rather than later.
Phil Hay suggested a few months ago that a summer exit is possible for Costa, and if Modueke comes in, he’ll surely be fearing for his spot at Leeds and wondering how he now fits into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.
The ex-Wolves ace has every right to be concerned with the reports linking Leeds with Madueke.
