Speculation is rife that Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Aaron Ramsey.

It was reported back in January that the Juventus midfielder was a genuine option for Spurs.

And now Tuttomercatoweb from Italy has claimed that Tottenham, among others, have made contact with the Bianconeri about bringing him to North London.

It goes without saying that quite a few Lilywhites fans aren’t on board with this, for two reasons:

1) Ramsey spent 11 years as an Arsenal player before leaving in 2019 on a Bosman, winning three FA Cup titles with the Gunners.

2) The Wales international is 30 and earning £400,000 per week in Turin, according to BBC Sport.

For a number of reasons, he isn’t a classic Daniel Levy signing and here’s how some fans on the white half of the North London divide reacted to the speculation on Twitter:

Will this happen? Almost certainly not.

As mentioned, Ramsey is earning an absolute fortune and if Tottenham miss out on Champions League football again this season, which is entirely possible, then no big-money signings are going to be made this summer, frankly.
