Leeds United have been tipped to hire Steven Gerrard as their next manager, hours after his dismissal at Aston Villa.
The Liverpool icon parted company with Aston Villa last night following a 3-0 defeat away to Fulham [Sky Sports].
Likewise, Jesse Marsch is finding himself under pressure at Leeds.
Last night, the Whites also lost 2-0 away to Leicester City and Marsch is now two months without a Premier League victory.

The Elland Road outfit are outside the relegation zone on goal difference, as are Aston Villa.
And former Hull City and Birmingham City midfielder Curtis Woodhouse believes that Gerrard would be an ideal candidate to replace Marsch if he leaves West Yorkshire.
Next Leeds manager?
It’s very possible that Leeds will consider a change of management over the coming weeks unless results improve dramatically.
A resounding victory over Chelsea in August appears to have given a false sense of where United are, because that was their most recent Premier League win.
That being said, it seems unlikely that the former Aston Villa boss will be under consideration.
If Gerrard struggled at the Villans then logically you’d think he would encounter similar difficulties at Elland Road.
Having said that, let’s not write off Marsch just yet.
The American manager seems a popular figure at Leeds and he has turned around their fortunes before, following a difficult start to life in the Premier League.
He could very well mastermind another reversal in fortunes now, too.
