Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Ben White could be Arsenal’s next signing.
BBC Sport have reported that Arsenal have agreed on a £50 million fee with Brighton for their centre-back.
Tottenham themselves are in need of a centre-back this summer and some fans have pointed out how they like Arsenal being so swift in finding players for their problem areas.
Both Spurs and Arsenal declined last season, with the duo suffering from defensive problems and experienced players simply not performing.
Arsenal are making their noises in the transfer market but it seems as though Spurs are yet to pounce under their new coach, Nuno Espirito Santo.
Whilst some Tottenham fans question the price their North London rivals are paying for White, he is perhaps a player that Spurs should have also been looking at.
Nuno likes to play in a back three, White did that last season. He is very comfortable with bringing the ball out from the back and possesses the physicality to deal with some of the Premier League’s best.
Not only that, but he can also play in the middle of the park and in a typical flat back four if need be.
But it’s interesting to see what happens with the market if Arsenal land White’s talents for £50 million and whether that inflates prices of other players.
