Speaking on the England YouTube channel, Kalvin Phillips has named Mason Mount as the one England player he’d love to join Leeds United.
Phillips was taking fan questions, and one supporter asked the midfielder which player from the England camp he’d love to bring back to Elland Road, and Phillips says that Mount would be a star for Leeds.
What’s been said?
Phillips said that Mount would perfectly suit Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United team.
“It’s a hard one that you know. I’d probably say Mason Mount. I feel like me and Mason get on quite well, but just the way we play. The way he presses in his position and the positions he gets himself into would suit Leeds United. He could probably take the way the manager works on board and he’d be a superstar if he came to Leeds,” Phillips said.

Perfect fit
Sadly, we will probably never see Mount play under Marcelo Bielsa, but the thought of him in the Leeds United squad is mouth-watering.
Bielsa loves a player who will run his socks off, and the 22-year-old is certainly a player who leaves everything on the pitch.
Could Leeds ever sign Mount? It’s highly unlikely. Mount has just won the Champions League with Chelsea, while Leeds are still relatively fresh from 16 years in the Championship, so they’re not quite at that level yet.
Luckily for Phillips, he does get the chance to play with Mount for England and hopefully, that’s a partnership that can be successful at international level.
