Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Patrick Bamford has outlined who his dream signing would be at Elland Road.
With the transfer window now open, the striker was asked who his dream signing would be at Leeds if money was no object.
Bamford didn’t immediately go for a player like Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, instead he opted to choose a player he thinks would fit perfectly into Marcelo Bielsa’s system.
“If I could sign anyone, money’s no object. Right, so let’s think about it position-wise. Number nine we’re pretty much sorted.
“You know what, I’d sign, especially with the way we play, you know who I’d sign, the left-back from Bayern Munich, Davies, you know, is it Alphonso Davies?
“The way we attack, literally our full-backs sometimes play as wingers, we are very attacking and he came into my head quite quickly then. He’d be a perfect fit, Leeds fans don’t get excited because I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

Of course, Leeds signing the European champions’ first-choice left-back seems like a bit of a long-shot, but can you imagine how good it would be to see Davies playing in a Bielsa team?
The Canadian is one of the fastest and most energetic left-backs in the world, and he’s also brilliant at crossing the ball.
Davies is a joy to watch at Bayern, but if he was playing in Leeds’ all guns blazing, gung-ho system he woud probably be one of the most entertaining footballers on the planet.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem remotely plausible that he’s going to turn up at Elland Road anytime soon.
