Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has joked on his Instagram story that his Liverpool teammate, Andy Robertson, is ‘heavy for a skinny lad’.
The Liverpool midfielder posted an image on his Instagram story with Robertson on his back accompanied with the above caption.
And Robertson, in his own typical way, responded by saying it’s ‘all muscle’.
Well, whilst Robertson can show his brute strength out on that field on a regular basis, the same cannot be said for the Ox.
Lack of game time, form and injuries have all played a part in his Liverpool career stagnating.
But it just feels as though this is the last chance saloon for Oxlade-Chamberlain, unless Jurgen Klopp has plans to part ways with the former Arsenal man this summer.
As for Robertson, he was a standout for the Reds last season during an injury-hit campaign, especially for the defence.
The £10 million Liverpool man (BBC Sport) seemed to be the only defender to survive visiting the treatment room.
But along with Trent Alexander-Arnold on the other flank ahead of the new campaign, he will want to put fear back into opposition teams once more and guide Liverpool to the title.
