Celtic stand on the brink of a historic quadruple treble

Celtic could make history today when they take on Hearts in this afternoon’s Scottish Cup Final.
Victory would see Neil Lennon’s men secure an unprecedented quadruple treble, and give fans a major lift during a frustrating period.
Hearts, meanwhile, will be hoping to avenge their defeat against Celtic in the 2018/19 final. Craig Levein’s side took the lead on that occasion thanks to Ryan Edwards’ 52nd-minute goal, but within 10 minutes Odsonne Edouard had equalised with a penalty and the Frenchman went on to clinch victory eight minutes from time with his second goal.

Celtic’s stuttering form so far this season has seen calls for Lennon to be sacked, but there have been signs in their most recent fixtures that a corner may have been turned.
Defeat against Championship side Hearts, however, would plunge Celtic firmly into crisis mode.
FORM
A series of disappointing results saw Celtic fall 13 points behind Rangers in the title race, albeit with two games in hand. Lennon will be hoping back-to-back victories against Lille and Kilmarnock in their last two games will give his men the confidence to take care of business at Hampden.
Robbie Neilson’s Hearts side have opened up a four-point gap at the top of the Championship thanks to their run of six wins in seven games, but a shock Betfred Cup defeat against Alloa in November means it’s not all been good news at Tynecastle.
