The Jambos were lacklustre as Hibs ran out 2-1 winners at Tynecastle in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
Another feisty Edinburgh derby saw Hearts succumb to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hibernian in Saturday’s Scottish Premiership encounter at Tynecastle.
The Jambos dominated the opening 25 minutes on their home turf as Olly Lee rifled a free kick against the woodwork before he crossed for Peter Haring to head home.
However, Hibs countered just three minutes later as Daryl Horgan slid in to poke home Marc McNulty’s low cross, ensuring the game was all square at the break.
In the second half, Florian Kamberi’s slide-rule pass found Horgan, who let rip with a left-footed strike which left Bobby Zlamal helpless for his second of the game.
The Easter Road side held out and remain unbeaten in the league under head coach Paul Heckingbottom, while Craig Levein’s charges trail their bitter rivals by two points.
Indeed, Heckingbottom has won six of his eight matches so far, while the outlook amongst the Hearts supporters is not so positive following such a dour performance against their rivals.
