This is a difficult time for Tottenham Hotspur and England hitman Harry Kane.
The Three Lions bowed out of the World Cup at the quarter-final stage on Saturday by losing 2-1 to France in Qatar.
And it was a missed penalty from the Spurs striker which proved costly for Gareth Southgate’s side.
Kane, who scored an earlier penalty against Tottenham teammate Hugo Lloris, stepped up and fired over the crossbar in the final quarter, missing the chance to cancel out Olivier Giroud’s eventual winner.
The England captain looked devastated at the final whistle.
And former Tottenham owner Alan Sugar has sent a heartfelt tweet to the 29-year-old.
There’s simply no doubt that Kane will bounce back from this.
It won’t be easy, but the Lilywhites marksman is made of sturdy stuff and it’s certain that he’ll be back scoring goals for the North Londoners once the dust settles on this.
But deep down, it’ll have hurt Kane in a massive way, with this being potentially his last World Cup.
