Jermaine Beckford has cheekily messaged Erling Haaland urging him to join Leeds United in the summer.

Haaland netted yet another brace for Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last night, as he helped them progress past Sevilla.

The Leeds supporting striker now has 20 goals in 14 games at Champions League level, which is a simply remarkable statistic.

And Beckford couldn’t help but try and encourage Haaland to move to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.

Unfortunately Leeds’ chances of signing Haaland seem to be over now, at least for the foreseeable future.

At one stage, when he was a teenager, Haaland was heavily linked with a move to the team he supported.

However, Leeds never got a deal over the line with Red Bull Salzburg, who he was then at.

Haaland has, however, stated that his ultimate dream would be to win the Premier League with the Whites – so, perhaps, in the distant future, it could be a potential transfer for Leeds to re-visit.
