Tottenham and Chelsea meet in the Premier League this weekend at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur meet Chelsea this Sunday lunchtime in what is sure to be a fiercely contested London derby, with both sides having experienced differing fortunes so far this season.
Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League, and are within striking distance of the top four, and while they are only four points from the top, there is even talk of them challenging for the league title.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have started the season with one of the worst title defences in living memory, as they currently sit in 15th place having only collected 14 points from their opening 13 games.
Spurs will see this weekend as an opportunity to put Jose Mourinho’s side out of the race completely for the top four, while the visitors will be looking for a route back into contention for the Champions League places. They will be looking at recent wins over Norwich City and Maccabi Tel Aviv as building blocks in the hope another win at White Hart Lane could kick-start their season.
Both sides will have done their fair share of travelling in European competition ahead of this game but it probably won’t take away from the spectacle, with attacking players on both sides likely to be under the spotlight. We compare Eden Hazard to Son Heung-Min.
| Position | Team | Total Scoring Att GAME | Big Chance Created | Goals | On Target Shooting Accuracy | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Son Heung-Min | MF | Tottenham | 2.4 | 0 | 1 | 50% | 5 | 318 |
| Eden Hazard | MF | Chelsea | 1.31 | 0 | 0 | 24% | 13 | 1,055 |
Because of injuries and late arrival into the Premier League, there has been significantly less time for Son to make the kind of impact that he will have liked to, but looking at the statistics on show in the table above, it would appear he has been more influential on Tottenham when he has played compared to last season’s Footballer of the Year on the current defending champions.
Hazard’s move to a more central role may improve those statistics, while it will be interesting to see if Son can build on what seems to be an impressive start since his big-money move from Bayer Leverkusen. If both players start, then both defences have a big job in marking their respective opponents out of the game.
