Darren Bent said on Sky Sports Premier League (5:06pm, April 10, 2021) that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah could have been seriously hurt while scoring his goal against Aston Villa.

Liverpool got the better of Villa 2-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon to enhance their chances of finishing in the top four.

Salah scored for the Reds in the 57th minute when he found the back of the net from close range after Emiliano Martinez had parried Andy Robertson’s cross.

Tyrone Mings tried to clear the ball and went dangerously close to hitting Salah in the head.

It was not on intention at all, as the England international defender was just trying to clear the ball, and former Villa striker was impressed by the bravery shown by the 28-year-old Egypt international forward.

Bent said about Salah on Sky Sports Premier League (5:06pm, April 10, 2021): “He shows, to be fair, great bravery because Tyrone Mings could have taken his head off.”
