The Rangers prospect has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season.

The head of Rangers’ academy Craig Mulholland has praised Ross McCrorie after the talented young defender established himself in the first-team.
A product of Rangers’ youth system, McCrorie gained experience during loan spells with Ayr United and Dumbarton before seizing his opportunity at his parent club.
The 19-year-old, who can play as a defensive midfielder or a centre-back, has produced some superb performances and Mulholland believes that McCrorie is setting a superb example for the players currently progressing through the ranks at Rangers.

Mulholland told the club’s official website: “I think what Ross brings to it is his growth mindset and his willingness to work every day. I’ll give you an example – since he has gone to the first team, he still comes back every day and does his strength and conditioning sessions with the sports science team.
“That desperation when they come through the gates of the training ground is critical for every young player.”

A strong work ethic is certainly required for any youngster to reach the top and McCrorie’s commitment to the cause is unquestionable.
The prospect has amassed 19 senior appearances for Rangers this season, impressing wherever he has been deployed, although he is currently sidelined with a foot injury.
Composed in possession and hugely effective at winning the ball back, McCrorie has settled into the Rangers side seamlessly and it will be intriguing to see whether he can continue his progression and develop even further.
Rangers are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership, eleven points adrift of leaders Celtic.
