Speaking on the Official England Podcast, Tony Adams has been waxing-lyrical about Raheem Sterling amid his links to Arsenal.
The Manchester City winger has been lighting up Euro 2020 so far, netting three of England’s four goals at the tournament.
Adams has been blown away by what he’s seen from Sterling thus far, claiming that he’s been head and shoulders above every other England player.
What’s been said?
The former Arsenal captain was full of praise for Sterling.
“You’ve just won the league with Man City, you’re head and shoulders above every other player we had on the pitch to be honest with you, in my opinion, he’s a level above. I’d love to be able to have a poor season and win the league. The idea of him not being in this squad is laughable, and I love the way he smiled at that question,” Adams said.

Seal of approval
It seems as though Adams is a big fan of Sterling, so it’s just as well that the winger might be signing for Arsenal this summer.
Indeed, Sterling has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates in this window, and if the England star did arrive in north London this summer it would be a move that Adams would seemingly love.
However, after four stellar showings at the Euros, it’s hard to believe that City would willingly allow Sterling to leave the Etihad this summer.
