Sam Allardyce has told SportBible that he would sign Everton defender Seamus Coleman for Newcastle United.
What’s the story?
Former Everton and Newcastle manager Allardyce was playing Football Manager with SportBible.
Allardyce was told that he would get a transfer kitty of £200 million to spend on Newcastle on the latest edition of Football Manager.
Among the number of players ‘Big Sam’ said that he would sign for the Magpies with the money is Coleman.
The Englishman worked with the 33-year-old when he was the manger of Everton.

What Sam Allardyce said
Allardyce told SportBible about Coleman: “He was a great captain. In terms of winning, you need players with character and Seamus brings that.
“He means so much to a dressing room. He would hold it together and speak his mind, as well as bring enthusiasm and quality to the pitch. It’s not just what he brings as a player, but what he’d bring to unite the team.
“He’s not frightened of telling the lads that they might not be doing their job correctly either. You need certain mentalities from each role as well as abilities. He is the full package.”

Too late for Seamus Coleman to join Newcastle?
Coleman has been one of the best right-backs in the Premier League over the years.
Yes, the Republic of Ireland international is still going strong, but he is 33 now.
In our view, Newcastle are not going to sign Coleman either in January or in the summer of 2022.
Now, of course, we know how good Coleman is, but the 33-year-old is a bit too old to join the Newcastle revolution under manager Eddie Howe.
The right-back has made 307 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Coleman has scored 20 goals in those games.
