Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after they were linked with a move for Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill.
Leeds are seemingly in the market for a new midfielder after being strongly linked with a move for Huddersfield’s Lewis O’Brien, but TeamTalk claim that Brownhill is also on their radar.
Unfortunately, the Burnley man wouldn’t come cheap, with the article stating that he will cost £15m.
However, that hasn’t stopped Leeds fans from getting excited, and it’s easy to understand why.
Brownhill is an energetic midfielder with quality, and that’s exactly what Leeds lacked against Manchester United with both Rodrigo and Mateusz Klich putting in underwhelming displays.
Just look at how Lee Hendrie has raved over Brownhill in the past.
“Josh Brownhill, I think he is a fabulous player, I really do,” said Hendrie. “Out of [Sander] Berge and him, I’d take Brownhill all day just because Josh Brownhill reminds me of John McGinn,” Hendrie said.
“He’s very energetic, he’s very neat and tidy on the ball, he gets up and down the pitch well and you know what you’re getting when you’re getting a player from Burnley.”
Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying about this rumour…
