Paul Robinson told The Football Show on Sky Sports (24/08/21 11:10 pm) that Wolves winger Adama Traore ‘would fit into the Tottenham team’.
The former England goalkeeper thinks the rumoured Spurs target is a ‘top player’ and someone who has ‘developed in the last two seasons’.
It’s no surprise that Nuno wants Traore in North London given that the duo thrived alongside one another at Molineux.
Traore looked like his own typical self over the weekend when Spurs recorded a 1-0 win in the Midlands and he should have put the ball into the back of the net when going through on goal.
Despite that, Robinson has backed Spurs to sign up the Spanish speedster before next Tuesday’s deadline.
“I think he certainly would fit into Tottenham’s team,” said Robinson. “I think he’s a top player.
“I think he has developed in the last two seasons. I think there is now an end product to him. It was just raw pace and power with him. But now there’s quality. There are goals and assists.
“I think he would fit into that Tottenham side – Traore is certainly a player of quality that would be a bright addition to this team.”
Tottenham fans saw it all for themselves on Sunday when Traore went through on goal and fluffed his side’s chances of equalising.
That’s perhaps a cloud that will continue to linger over him until he becomes more ruthless and efficient player in the final third.
But given that Nuno wants to bring Traore to North London with him, it just goes to show how much quality he has in his boots and how highly thought of he is.
