Kevin Hatchard has backed Daniel Farke’s Leeds United to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nadiem Amiri.
The German football expert stated on Twitter that Nadiem Amiri is a ‘technically very good’ player and he would do ‘fine’ at the Championship level.
Leeds United have expressed interest in signing the 26-year-old this summer, with a four-year offer being put on the table.
It’s no surprise that Farke is dipping in the Bundesliga market given that it is his home country and the fact that he managed Borussia Monchengladbach last season.
After suffering relegation last season, Leeds lost a number of players, mainly on loan, with Farke now needing to bulk up his squad before the 2023 summer transfer window slams shut.
If they manage to secure Amiri’s talents, then German football expert Hatachard explained what they could be signing.
“Talented, but always had the feeling we’ve never quite seen the best of him,” said Hatchard.
“Technically very good, but consistency is always an issue. Would probably do fine at a lower level like the Champ though.”
Big week ahead for Leeds
Both, in terms of incomings and out-goings, this final week, before the summer transfer window slams shut, is huge for Leeds and their want to earn promotion.
It could be argued that who they keep hold of, such as Wilfried Gnonto, is perhaps bigger than who they bring in before the deadline.
Either way, this final week could dictate how the rest of the season goes for them because it is still up in the air whether or not they could secure a top-six finish.
