Celtic fans have taken to Twitter in anger after the club posted a tweet about Kieran Tierney earlier today.
The Bhoys uploaded a tweet commemorating the sixth anniversary of the 19-cap Scotland international’s debut for Celtic.
Tierney replaced Emilio Izaguirre in the 81st minute of a 2-1 win over Dundee back in April 22nd 2015, a game in which Virgil van Dijk scored.
However, it doesn’t seem like Celtic’s Twitter account has read the room.
A number of furious Hoops supporters hit back at the tweet, presumably for a number of different reasons.
Firstly, they’re probably still hurting from his £25 million move to Arsenal.
Tierney was a fan favourite, and an academy product, so it was extremely painful to see him swap Paradise for the Premier League.

Additionally, some fans were upset because there are bigger issues at bay than commemorating an ex-player’s debut.
Celtic are still without a replacement for Neil Lennon, and are set to have a seriously depleted squad ahead of next season.
The likes of Shane Duffy, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Jonjoe Kenny and Diego Laxalt will be returning to their parent clubs in the summer.

Patryk Klimala also left earlier today, while Kristoffer Ajer and Odsonne Edouard have plenty of suitors, it seems.
There’s so much to worry about. As a result, it seems like the Celtic Park faithful have no time to be feeling romantic about former players, no matter how well they did in Glasgow.
Let’s see what the Celtic fans on Twitter have been saying about the club’s Tierney tweet…
