Alex Iwobi has spoken highly of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

The Everton midfielder played with Nketiah at Arsenal.

And the Nigeria international has said on The Beautiful Game Podcast that the 23-year-old former Leeds United loanee is a player who will never stop working even when he is not a regular in the first team.

When Gabriel Jesus is fit and available, the 23-year-old is the second-choice striker in manager Mikel Arteta’s team.

Alex Iwobi on Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah

Iwobi said about Nketiah: “Eddie is someone who believes in himself from when he was young.

“Eddie gets goals, always guaranteed. Always gets goals. He won’t stop working.

“That’s something that I am sure Arteta appreciates. Even if he is not playing, he will run in training.”

Promising

In our view, Eddie Nketiah is a very good and promising young striker who will get better if he gets regular playing time for Arsenal.

Now, we know that Gabriel Jesus is the number one striker at Arsenal.

And, let’s face it, the Brazil international is better than Nketiah.

So, when Jesus is fit and available, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will use the former Manchester City striker in his starting lineup.

However, we cannot ignore the quality of Nketiah.

The 23-year-old’s presence in and around the opposition penalty box is really massive.

And he also scores goals.

So far this season, the Arsenal no. 14 has scored four goals and given one assist in nine Premier League starts.
