
Clinton Morrison said on Sky Sports News (10:08am, December 20, 2020) that Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette will not be happy that Gabriel Martinelli came on ahead of him against Everton.
Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Eddie Nketiah started as the main striker, and Lacazette replaced the former Leeds United loanee in the 76th minute.
Brazilian forward Martinelli came on before the Frenchman against Everton, replacing winger Nicolas Pepe on 71 minutes.
Former Crystal Palace forward Morrison, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that 29-year-old French forward Lacazette will not happy with manager Mikel Arteta’s decision to bring 19-year-old Brazilian forward Martinelli ahead of him.
Morrison said about Lacazette on Sky Sports News (10:08am, December 20, 2020): “He won’t be happy because he is probably thinking he is next in line.
“He is the experienced striker, and at times like that Arsenal are in at the moment, he wants to be playing. And he brings on Martinelli before Lacazette.”
