Danny Murphy has said on talkSPORT (10:12am, March 8, 2021) that Rangers manager Steven Gerrard will eventually end up at Liverpool.
The former Liverpool midfielder, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, played with Gerrard at the Merseyside club.
Liverpool legend Gerrard has just guided Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title.
Murphy believes that although Gerrard is happy at Rangers and things are going well for him at Ibrox, it is inevitable that he will return to England to manage Liverpool in the future.
Murphy said about Gerrard on talkSPORT (10:12am, March 8, 2021): “When it does change, the one club on the planet that you know he will walk to is Liverpool, when the time’s right. It’s not a disrespectful thing to raise, it’s just the inevitability of his managerial career. That’s what’s gonna happen.”

Future Liverpool manager?
Jurgen Klopp is in charge of Liverpool at the moment, and although things are not going so well at the moment, there are no indications that he will be dismissed.
Gerrard has been a full-time permanent manager of a club for less than three years, and there is a lot more to come from the Englishman.
Given that Gerrard is a Liverpool legend and is doing well in his managerial career, it is safe to suggest that he will be back at Anfield some time in the future.
However, for now, Rangers fans need not worry. The Gers have just won the league title and are doing well in Europe, and Gerrard seems very happy at Ibrox.
