Bielsa has hailed the Spain international – who can operate as a striker or as a winger – as a very important player for the team.
The Whites signed the 29-year-old from Valencia in the summer transfer window.
Bielsa has also praised Diego Llorente, with the central defender having moved to Leeds from Real Sociedad this summer.
Bielsa told Leeds Live about Rodrigo: “From my point of view, Rodrigo is a player with very, very important qualities.
“This is very easy to verify if you just look at the games he has played for his previous clubs and his national team.
“For us he’s a very important player and I think he will show this in a continued manner.”
The Leeds boss said about Llorente: “He’s a centre-back who can play either side, on Koch’s side or Pascal and Cooper’s. Technically he has a sufficient technique to play in the Premier League and he also has the ability to adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League.”

Important players for Leeds United
Both Rodrigo and Llorente will be expected to be regulars in the Leeds starting lineup as the season progresses.
Rodrigo has pace and skills, and his versatility to play upfront or out wide means that he will be a big option for head coach Bielsa.
Llorente could take a while to get used to Bielsa’s system and developing an understanding with his teammates on the pitch, but the Spain international will be a big player for Leeds as well.
The Whites have made a good start to the new Premier League season, narrowly losing to Liverpool before getting the better of Fulham at Elland Road.
