Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has hinted that Gareth Bale will start later this evening against Wycombe Wanderers as long as he is fit, as per his comments to Sky Sports.
Tottenham are due to take on Wycombe on Monday, with Mourinho set to name a changed line-up.
While Spurs are still expected to put out a strong time tonight, many of their key players could be rested.
And Mourinho has hinted that Bale will start later, providing he feels up to the challenge.
“The match (against Wycombe) is Monday and we still have training sessions to evaluate that,” Mourinho said.
“It is also about his confidence. If he feels that the week that he’s had has had a positive impact on him and, on his confidence, he will play.”
When asked to make a similar decision in the last round of the FA Cup, Bale made himself available to take on Marine.

On that occasion that Welshman only was brought on as a late substitute, which didn’t give him much chance to make an impact.
But if Bale does start tonight the pressure will be on him to produce an eye catching display.
Bale has not had the impact at Tottenham that many were expecting since his arrival, but if he could produce against Wycombe then a slot may open up for him in Mourinho’s regular starting line-up.
