Troy Deeney has told talkSPORT that rumoured Arsenal and Leeds target, Ivan Toney, ‘will move on’ this summer regardless of Brentford’s status.
TeamTalk claimed in March that Arsenal are rivalling Leeds for the 29-goal hitman’s signature.
Watford have already secured their status back to the big time, with Brentford having to take another agonising journey through the play-offs to try and be the third and final team to book their Premier League place next season.
And even if Toney, who is searching to beat Glenn Murray’s 32-goal Championship record, fires them to the PL, Deeney can still see him leaving.
“Right now, I will go for Brentford (to earn promotion) just because of Ivan Toney,” said Deeney. “29-30 goals. He hasn’t scored in a couple.
“But I know him personally and he has definitely tried to get Glenn Murray’s record of 32 goals, so I think in the playoffs, he will show that cut above.
“I think he is one of those players, and Brentford fans won’t be happy, but once the season is over then he will move on.
“Whether they get to the Premier League, or not. He is ready for that next level.”

If one of Arsenal or Leeds, or any other interested parties, are unsure about Toney then they shouldn’t be.
From his ice-cold composure to his quick-thinking intelligence, Toney is a player who will score goals in the Premier League, no doubt.
Brentford know a talent when they see one because with Ollie Watkins’ performances for Aston Villa this season, he is proof that Toney can also do the business.
Many questioned Villa when they broke their club-record fee for Watkins, and now he is on 12 Premier League goals, most chances created as a striker and an England international.
