According to Football London, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a summer transfer move for Dean Henderson.
Henderson is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he has performed admirably, and with Spurs looking for a long-term Hugo Lloris replacement, a move to north London could be on the cards for the England international.
Interestingly, Henderson has had admirers at Spurs for quite some time. He’s been linked with Tottenham for almost three years at this point and ex-Spurs boss, Jose Mourinho, has gone on the record to hail the goalkeeper.
Indeed, when speaking to The Times last year, Mourinho hailed Henderson, stating that he will be a phenomenal goalie one day.

Mourinho loves Henderson
The Portuguese gaffer spoke highly of Henderson when speaking to The Times.
“I don’t think they are phenomenal goalkeepers or, in Dean Henderson’s case, not yet phenomenal. When I say not yet, I say he will be,” Mourinho said.
Lots of potential
Mourinho was absolutely right with his summary of Henderson, this is a goalkeeper with bags of potential.
As he’s shown at both Forest and Sheffield United, the glovesman is one of the league’s premier shot-stoppers, and while his distribution may leave a lot to be desired, that’s something that a good coach can work on.
Henderson has the baseline ability to become a top-class goalkeeper one day, and perhaps his potential will be realised if he joins a team like Tottenham.
This would be a smart move for Spurs to make and they’ve already had the seal of approval from their former manager.
