Tottenham Hotspur interim-manager Ryan Mason has said that Yves Bissouma could still feature this season.
Mason has told Football.London that he is hopeful that the Tottenham midfielder will recover from his injury and play again before the season ends.
The £25 million Mali international midfielder (SkySports) has been out since undergoing surgery in February.
Bissouma joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The Tottenham no. 38 has made eight starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.
The 26-year-old also made three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League, one start in the Carabao Cup and one appearance in the FA Cup for Spurs this campaign.
Ryan Mason on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma
Mason said when asked if Bissouma will play again this season: “We hope so.
“There are obviously some hurdles he has got to overcome and to hit some certain goals but we are hopeful he will appear before the end of the season.”

Taking time
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur fans should not expect Yves Bissouma to hit the ground running once he recovers from his injury.
In fact, we actually think that it would be better for the Malian star to wait until next season to be back in action.
There is no point in Tottenham taking a risk on the former Brighton ace so close to the end of the season.
Spurs are now looking unlikely to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
It would be a risk for Tottenham to bring the midfielder back to the team now.
We suggest that Spurs wait until next season.
Let Bissouma have a good pre-season and build up his match fitness.
