
Jamie Carragher shared on Sky Sports Premier League (10:38pm, January 18, 2021) what Mauricio Pochettino once told him about Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The former Liverpool star, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, said that Pochettino did not like his analysis and criticism of Tottenham midfielder Ndombele.
The Argentine, now the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, was then in charge of Spurs, and he told Carragher that Ndombele is a very good player.
Carragher said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:38pm, January 18, 2021): “I bumped into Mauricio Pochettino at a game at Anfield, a Champions League game, and he watched it, and he didn’t agree at all. He wasn’t too happy with my analysis and said Spurs have a really good player, a top player there.”
Tanguy Ndombele has got better
Ndombele did not have a great season on a personal level in 2019-20, but the 24-year-old has been very good for Spurs so far this campaign and is flourishing under head coach Jose Mourinho.
According to WhoScored, the Frenchman made 12 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process.
So far this season, Ndombele has made 14 starts and two substitute appearances in the league for Spurs so far this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
The midfielder will be a big player for Spurs this season if they are to win the Premier League and the Europa League.
