Ian Wright has said on Premier League Productions that Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks happy now.

The Arsenal legend has said that Aubameyang did not look happy earlier in the season when he had to make runs away from the opposition goal.

The BBC Sport pundit believes that the Gabon international striker is doing better now because he has got so much creativity in midfield.

What Ian Wright has said

Wright said on Premier League Productions: “What was happening with Aubameyang, especially in the times when we didn’t have the players I mentioned earlier, was making the team get up the pitch quicker.

“He had to do a lot more running in the (opposite) direction. You don’t want to see him running in. You are talking one of our oldest players.”

The Arsenal legend added: “He wasn’t happy with it. You could see he wasn’t happy with it. But now he has got so much creativity behind him. You could see him making the runs that we know he is famous for.”

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is back in form

Aubameyang did not start the Premier League season strongly.

And some Arsenal fans would have been worried after what happened last season.

The 32-year-old striker scored only 10 goals in the Premier League last season.

It was one of the poorest seasons in the career of the striker.

However, things are looking up for Aubameyang now.

In our view, the striker is now back in form.

Now, of course, Aubameyang is not at his best, but the signs are certainly there.

The Arsenal no. 14 has scored four goals and provided one assist in nine Premier League starts so far this season.

Aubameyang has scored three goals and given one assist in one Carabao Cup game this campaign.
