Darren Bent has praised Arsenal attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira for his performance against Fulham in the London derby on Saturday afternoon.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker and Sky Sports pundit has said on Sky Sports News (5:14pm, August 26, 2023) that Fabio Vieira was “outstanding” for Arsenal after he came on as a substitute against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium in North London.
The Premier League match between the Gunners and the Cottagers ended in a 2-2 draw.
Vieira started the London derby on the bench.

The 23-year-old Portuguese playmaker came on as a substitute for Kai Havertz in the 56th minute.
The youngster provided the assist for Eddie Nketiah’s goal on 72 minutes.
And Bent was impressed.
Bent said: “Arsenal managed to get a foothold in the game when Vieira came on.
“I thought he was outstanding when he came on, got the penalty.”
Fabio Vieira is a very good player who can do a job for Arsenal when needed.
Just like he did against Fulham in the London derby today.
It is very unlikely that Vieira will start week in and week out for Arsenal anytime soon.
After all, Martin Odegaard is the creator-in-chief for the Gunners, and the former Real Madrid star will start whenever he is fit and available.
However, it is important for Arsenal and for Vieira that the 23-year-old does well when he comes on as a substitute.
