Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal’s David Luiz has picked up an injury in Football London.
Luiz started Arsenal’s FA Cup clash with Sheffield United, but had to be taken off in the second-half.
Rob Holding came on to replace the Brazilian, which has led to concerns that Luiz could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
And Arteta has confirmed that the Arsenal centre-back will have to undergo a scan to assess the severity of the issue.
“It was his ankle. He will get assessed tomorrow but he was in pain,” Arteta said.
Luiz has just signed a new Arsenal contract, but he has work to do to win over supporters.

The experienced defender has endured an error prone first season at Arsenal and his recent display against Manchester City saw him take on board a great deal of criticism.
Arsenal managed to win 2-1 against Sheffield United, even without Luiz on the pitch at the end of the match.
