Rangers avenged their Betfred Cup exit with victory in Paisley

Rangers fans have heaped praise on Alfredo Morelos following this afternoon’s victory against St Mirren.
The likes of Filip Helander, Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara and Steven Davis all impressed as Steven Gerrard’s men avenged their shock 3-2 Betfred Cup defeat at the same venue earlier this month.
Supporters were delighted to see Morelos end his goal drought with Rangers’ second on 33 minutes, with Kemar Roofe having put the away side ahead six minutes earlier.

Morelos has yet to find the net against Celtic, but was given the opportunity to earn a place in Saturday’s lineup when he came in for Ryan Kent today.
The Colombian repaid the manager’s faith by calmly sliding the ball past Jak Alnwick, and these fans were thrilled to see him back on the scoresheet.
Morelos may well be looking forward to Saturday after his performance in Paisley.
His first league goal since September takes him onto eight in 25 matches, and there’s no doubt his celebrations will be wild if he makes it nine against Celtic at Ibrox.
