David Ginola has praised Tanguy Ndombele on Sky Sports Premier League (7:16pm, October 17, 2021) for his performance for Tottenham Hotspur against Newcastle United.
Ginola believes that Ndombele was the best player on the pitch, as Tottenham beat Newcastle 3-2 at St. James’ Park in the Premier League this evening.
The former Tottenham and Newcastle star believes that his French compatriot was everywhere.
Ginola said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:16pm, October 17, 2021): “We didn’t even mention Ndombele in the middle of the park. He was, of course, the Man of the Match. He was everywhere, he was holding the ball.”
How did Tanguy Ndombele play?
Ndombele does not always produce, but the France international delivered the goods against Newcastle tonight.
The 24-year-old was deployed as the number 10 against the Magpies, but the former Lyon star helped out defensively as ell and was not afraid to drop deep and build attacks.
The Tottenham midfielder took five shots, had a pass accuracy of 92.4%, took 99 touches, attempted four dribbles, made four tackles, and put in one cross.

Ndombele looked very energetic and fit and made some good runs.
We all know that the Frenchman is incredibly talented.
There is no doubt about that.
The problem with the former Lyon midfielder has been his lack of consistency.
There is also the issue of playing Ndombele in his best position.
As we saw today, playing Ndombele in an attacking role in midfield could get the best out of him.
