Billy Dodds and Willie Miller told BBC Sport that Arsenal defender, Kieran Tierney, has been a ‘steal’ for the club and he has ‘unbelievable’ qualities following his performance for Scotland on Wednesday.

The Arsenal left-back recorded three assists for his country playing as a left-sided centre-back during his side’s 4-0 World Cup qualifier win against the Faroe Islands.

Whether Tierney is donning the colours of Arsenal, or representing his home country, there doesn’t seem to be any end to his drive and quality.

And former Scotland internationals, Dodds and Miller, think Tierney may not have any faults to his game.

“£25m [fee to buy Kieran Tierney from Celtic] was a steal for him for Arsenal,” said Dodds.

“Even off the pitch, he is so impressive. I’m sitting here wondering if he’s got any faults?”

Miller added: “Kieran Tierney is the outstanding performer over the three games. The pace, drive and quality he has is unbelievable. He had everything tonight.”

Signed by Unai Emery and thriving under Mikel Arteta, it could be argued that Tierney is Arsenal’s most important player, right now.

The only player that can perhaps match him to that is Bukayo Saka, and maybe Thomas Partey given what he provides in the midfield.

But, either way, Arsenal have a player for the future and one that will only get better and better as seasons tick by.
