Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that ‘as many as 20 teams’ are interested in signing West Ham United and Newcastle United transfer target, Callum Hudson-Odoi, from Chelsea, as he told Sky Sports News.
The Sky reporter added that Hudson-Odoi ‘wants to move’ away from Chelsea because he’s not getting regular first-team minutes under Thomas Tuchel.
Well, both David Moyes and Eddie Howe could provide him with those starts, that’s if he decided to stay in the Premier League and sign on the dotted line for them.
Match of the Day host and former striker, Gary Lineker, claimed the 21-year-old has ‘bags of talent’ – he has two-years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge.
West Ham and Newcastle aren’t the only teams keen on the Englishman because Crystal Palace and Everton have also joined the race for his signature.
Well, transfer expert, Sheth shared his thoughts on the Hudson-Odoi situation and how the player is keen to listen to all offers before making a ‘final decision’ on where to move.
“It has emerged that he has told Chelsea that he wants to move and leave the club to get regular first-team football,” said Sheth.
“The information I have got is that he is generating a lot of interest. As many as 20 teams are interested in Callum Hudson-Odi. From Serie A, the Bundesliga, Spain, France and the Premier League as well.
“His representatives have been in talks with Borussia Dortmund. They want to speak to all interested parties and weigh up his interests before making a final decision.
“He is in the final two years of his contract and I think Chelsea will probably prefer, at the is stage, to be a loan, and if he does perform well and they don’t want to keep him, then come next summer, his valuation will still be high and they could get a good price for him. It’s one to watch.”
HUDSON-ODOI MAKING THE RIGHT CALL
Even though Hudson-Odoi is still 21, it feels like he has been around a long time given that he broke onto the scene Micah Richards style as a teenager.
Whilst the likes of Reece James and Mason Mount thrive in Chelsea colours, he is still trying to find that regular spot and position in the team.
It’s the right call from Hudson-Odoi in wanting to move and his fellow academy products abroad are prime examples that things can work out anywhere.
