Hatayspor striker Aaron Boupendza wants to prove himself in another league after shining in Turkey, club chief Rahmi There told Fanatik of the reported Celtic, Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur target.

Who among you had heard of this 24-year-old Gabon international a few months ago? Unless you’ve embarked on a Football Manager sojourn in the distant corners of European football, we’d imagine that Aaron Boupendza is a rather unfamiliar name.

But, after a stunning start to life in Turkey, you had better get use to hearing all about this red-hot centre-forward.

No one in the Super Lig has scored more goals than the former Bordeaux youngster this season; his tally of 18 in 16 starts better than that of Radamel Falcao, Vincent Aboubakar and the much-admired Cyle Larin.

According to 90Min, Boupendza now has more suitors than a freshly-baked Warburton loaf in your local duck pond.

Tottenham, Southampton, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Wolves and Newcastle want to hand the red-hot hitman a chance in the Premier League. Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are also going head-to-head for his signature.

And Hatayspor are under no illusions that, after just one season in Turkey, retaining Boupendza’s services will be easier said than done.

“Of course, we would like him to stay,” said There.

“After being successful in Hatayspor, I say this openly, he said he wants to go abroad.”

There admitted that Dinamo Kiev and Fenerbahce are both interested, claiming that the latter has made a ‘good offer’.

90Min, meanwhile, claims that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is trying to convince Arsenal to take a chance on his fellow Gabon international.

But how much would it take for Hatayspor to sell? Well, according to president Luftu Savas, £10 million could do the trick (Hurriyet).
