
Everton fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumour that Crystal Palace and Nuno Espirito Santo have ended talks for him to become their next manager.
With a number of Premier League clubs, including Palace and Everton searching for a new manager this summer, they were understandably going to be linked with the same names.
And that was the case with Nuno following his departure from Wolves at the end of the season.
He looked dead set to take his managerial talents from the Midlands to London, but as Sky Sports report, that has now ended.
It has attracted the attention of Everton fans because their club has also seemingly been looking to snap up his services.
How high Everton value Nuno on their list remains to be seen, but it will be interesting to see if they push for the ex-goalkeeper now that this Palace deal has fallen through.
For Everton, they were planning life with Carlo Ancelotti this summer, but his surprise departure didn’t help matters for those in the Goodison Park boardroom.
As for Palace, it was pretty clear that Roy Hodgson was leaving, so it allowed them to plan, not so much for those on Merseyside.
