Roy Keane has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7pm, October 16, 2022) that Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk played well against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The former Manchester United star has said that Netherlands international centre-back Van Dijk “put in a very good performance” for Liverpool against Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s side got the better of Pep Guardiola’s team 1-0 at home.
Mohamad Salah scored the only goal of the match in the 76th minute.

Impressive performance
In our opinion, Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk played well against Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The former Celtic star has not been playing particularly well this season, but he really stepped up his game against defending champions City today.
Erling Haaland did not have his best game against Liverpool, and that was due to Van Dijk keeping the Norway international striker quiet.
For Liverpool to be successful in the Premier League and in the UEFA Champions League this season, in our view, Van Dijk will have to maintain this high level.
