Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that Harry Winks struggled in the first half against Leeds United.
Conte has added that Winks played better in the second half and played with a lot of personalty.
The midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Spurs won the Premier League game against Leeds at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 2-1.
Conte told Football.London: “I’m pleased because many players are involved today.
“Tanganga, Sanchez when he came in, Winks – he struggled a lot with the rest of the team in the first half, second half he played with a lot of personality and played well.”

Conte’s comments about Winks are brutally honest.
The former Chelsea manager said that the 25-year-old midfielder “struggled a lot” in the first half.

It shows that Conte is not one to mince his words.
It is also encouraging to see the Italian tactician’s positive analysis of Winks’s display in the second half.
The midfielder sat very deep in the first half and really could not make an impact on the match.
But, like the rest of the Tottenham players, Winks stepped up his game in the second period and did well.
Winks had a pass accuracy of 83.7%, won three headers, took 64 touches, attempted one dribble, made two tackles, one interception and one clearance, and put in one cross.
