Garth Crooks has praised Liverpool winger Luis Diaz on BBC Sport for his performance against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the final of the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium in London at the weekend.
The former Tottenham forward was impressed by the display produced by Diaz during Liverpool’s win against Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
Jurgen Klopp’s side won the match on penalties.
BBC Sport pundit Crooks was impressed to see that Diaz did not want to come off even though he was tired, adding that he is going to be Liverpool’s next big superstar.

Praise for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz v Chelsea in FA Cup final
Crooks wrote about Diaz on BBC Sport: “What a find this player is. He was good when he played for Porto but I think he is really going to be a star at Liverpool.
“On another occasion he could have had a couple of goals but his tireless running both on and off the ball was a threat to Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
“The only reason Jurgen Klopp brought the Colombia winger off after 98 minutes was because of fatigue. The player was spent and yet he still didn’t want to come off the Wembley pitch.”
Anfield hero
In our opinion, Luis Diaz has been a superb signing for Liverpool and has already made himself a key player in the team.
The Colombia international winger starting the FA Cup final alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in attack shows how highly he is rated by Klopp.
Diaz is brilliant at running with the ball at defenders, works hard for the team, and is a genuinely excellent footballer.
There is more to come from Diaz, who is already a star at Liverpool.
