Tim Sherwood has claimed that if the Tottenham players were like Heung-Min Son then they would push for the Premier League title.

The former midfielder added that Son is a player who stands up to be counted for Tottenham, as he told Premier League Productions.

On Sunday, Son made himself heard when he netted a brace for his side during their 3-1 win at home over West Ham.

As per usual, it was Harry Kane who provided the two assists for the South Korea international.

Sherwood lauded the qualities in Son’s boots and the mentality he has on a daily basis.

“He stands up to be counted,” said Sherwood. “He wants to learn. He wants to learn new systems from the new manager.

“If they were all like him, then we wouldn’t have a problem. Forget the Champions League spot, they would be pushing towards the title.

“This guy can play for anyone. He can play for anyone in the Premier League, Heung-Min Son is that good.”

Signed for £22 million in 2015 (The Guardian), Son has been one of the best purchases Spurs have ever made.

That Mauricio Pochettino era plucked out some serious talent from the world of football, with Son standing tall next to the likes of Toby Alderweireld and Dele Alli as the best buys.

The only problem for the club is that they had zero trophies to show for it and only a few players remain from that era.

Antonio Conte is the man in the dugout now and Spurs fans will be hoping he is backed so he can help push the club over the trophy line.
