Richard Keys clearly doesn’t like Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta very much.
Last week, after Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-1, the former Sky Sports presenter labelled the Gunners boss as an ‘irritating man‘ for his animated touchline display.
The Spaniard was just as passionate on Sunday in East London as Arteta’s side picked up a massive 2-1 victory away to West Ham, moving back into fourth place in the Premier League table.
Afterwards, the former Manchester City assistant entered the pitch to congratulate his players for what really was a major three points.
And Keys, speaking to BeIN Sport, has taken another shot at the Arsenal boss, claiming he spent 90 minutes trying to get on to the pitch in reference to his colourful antics in the technical area.
He said: “Mikel Arteta eventually making it on the pitch. He spent most of the 90 minutes trying.”
Andy Gray, his co-host on BeIN Sport, laughed and added, “Yeah!”
Dislike
It was only a joke from Keys but, when you consider his comment last week, there is definitely reason to believe that he dislikes the Arsenal manager for whatever reason.
Thing is, last week and Sunday were two massive victories for the North Londoners, wins they absolutely had to secure to boost their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
Remember, it wasn’t long ago that the Gunners had lost three Premier League games in a row, leaving their top-four bid on the brink of ruin.
So to come back from that so emphatically, beating Chelsea, United and West Ham in successive games, who can blame Arteta for his animated and passionate touchline displays?
Only Keys, it would seem.
